Custom made, sharp as a blade!

Just wanted to show you guys my new kickass custom jacket! Too bad it's like -20 degrees celsius outside, so can't really walk around in it without dying the Wintersun death.

Custom stuff always turns out cooler, it's just how the world works really. And speaking of custom, I've got something new even cooler custom being made at the moment, to be revealed soon hopefully!

What doesn't kill you only makes you older!

25 years old, that's how far I've come in life by now as I turned that number 2 days ago. So happy birthday to me! And what's better than checking in to a hotel and catch some awesome bands live on the special day!

Said and done, me and my girl travelled to Stockholm on the 16th, checked out the hotel and then went out and grabbed some amazing food and watched some standup comedy. This was my first live standup I attended and it was hilarious so I gotta do that again!

Day 2, the day of the dead.. me.. we hit town and got some shopping done to get the day going until the event of the night, always fun spending money! Went back to the hotel and corked up the champagne to make it all a tad bit better!

The blackest bottle of them all ofcourse!

A bottle later feeling like superman it was time to catch the sub to Hovet where TASTE OF CHAOS took place. First band we saw was SUICIDE SILENCE which probably had the best crowd of all bands that night, but I'm assuming it's because of Mitch's amazing birdbang. Next up was HEAVEN SHALL BURN! I haven't listened to them much, recognized maybe one song or so, but they kicked ass and delivered better than the mailman himself. Also they threw shirts and stuff out into the crowd.. got me thinking, we should do that too! Great idea right?

Two beers are better than one!

A few more beers, Jack Daniels and the best of the best, rum and coke, later it was time for the band I was there to see the most. The one and ony Jakoby and PAPA ROACH! Say what you want but I think they're great! So front-row time and BOOM!, they blow away all their hits with a bang. And something I always enjoyed when watching bands live is the hunt for the sticks, picks and everything else the bands throw out! So this show was not an exception ofcourse, and I managed to catch a drumstick from Tony Palermo. I rock!

After that we watched AS I LAY DYING aswell and then it was time to head back to the hotel! All and all it was an amazing birthday!

Captain out!

Attack, attack!

Since we don't have any official videos of any song, I took myself the liberty of making a video for our opening track Attack of the Cenobites from our debut Tales From The Undead. It's probably one of the best videos ever made, so check it out!

Wouldn't you like to see something strange?

Time flies when having rum! So this years Halloween has passed and I hope you all had a killer one! We ended up playing shows on the 29th and the 30th and we kicked ass as usual.. I hope! On the 30th we played together with fellow Swedish horror-rockers The Nightshift that we haven't played with since 2008 so was cool to meet up with the guys again, check them out!

We were planning on premiering a brand new song, but then we didn't so that'll just have to wait until next time! I'll let you in on the super secret title though, just for you faithful readers! This masterpiece will be called Level 6, and if there's anyone out there who knows what Level 6 is, then you should know the theme of the song aswell. What can I say, we like movies! Or atleast I do, and since I write alot of our material it's very easy to just spawn songs out of cool movies, so there might be a movie-themed song or 2... or 5, on our next album aswell.

Hint, hint..

We're currently writing a whole lot of songs for the upcoming album, following our debut Tales From The Undead. We're aiming at a April/May 2011 release or so, and then hitting Europe with all we've got! So far we got a really cool gig lined up where we'll be sharing stage with the likes of Murderdolls, The Other, Rezurex and a bunch of other kick-ass horror bands. But with all things cool there's always restrictions so I can't tell you anything about it just yet, but as soon as we get green light I'll let you know!

There's probably a whole lot more I could write and write about to let you know pretty much fucking everything about us, but too much text bores me and I bet alot of you are the same. So I'll save some for later! And heads up, our new bass player will be announced soon!

Keep it in the crypt!

While writing this I'm watching Metalocalypse, and if you have missed that show for some strange reason you should go check it out 'cause it's hilarious! Kinda good of me to be able to write a blog and watch a show at the same time aswell right?

Well for you who follow my bands Facebook, MySpace, Twitter or any of those fancy sites I guess you already seen us introducing that thing you've been seeing lurking around. And if not, go check some of our sites damn it! Well it's the Cryptkeeper I'm talking about and he's gonna be doing all the sound effects and other cool stuff to make sure our live show gets even better. So yeah now we're a six-piece, but there's gonna be some other changes aswell but the future will tell you all about that.

Other than that we're just getting prepared for the upcoming shows, nailing the setlists that we'll be playing, and we'll also introduce a new cover we'll be doing live. Come to any of our shows to see which one! Or follow our YouTube channel, since it all finds its way on there eventually anyway.

I'm also featured in Brandon Myles Perry's new book "How to view and review post-modern/classical Horror Cinema". He wrote me and asked if I wanted to be part of it as an artist in the musical genre that reeks horror! A bunch of artists contributed to the book including Calabrese, Blitzkid, The Crimson Ghosts, Eerie Von (Danzig, Samhain), Diemonsterdie and a bunch more so check that out if you want to read some cool stuff about horror films.

I guess that wraps it up for now, now I'm off to check out the new Bad Religion album. I hear it's bad-ass, hope it is! Also you'd wanna check out Dimmu Borgirs new release Abrahadabra, it's killer!

I need a truck!

I need a truck to haul my bad thoughts around, I need a truck to haul my percodan and gin! Or atleast that's what Warren Zevon would have put it like I guess.

Anyway, speaking of trucks! Look what we've just got, it's the brand new Zombiesuckers trucker cap of terror! Pretty sweet huh? And no animals were harmed making the caps, we found them hanging like that, I swear!

And that thing again.. now holding the caps.. what is it? Sunday will tell, so stick around and get to know all about it! Also a bunch of other new stuff happening, hope yo be able to tell you guys about it soon enough!

Blast away a mail to contact@zombiesuckers.com or directly to me at captainmorgue@zombiesuckers.com if you'd like a cap for like $15 + postage, or whatever currency your working with. We'll figure it out for you.

www.myspace.com/zombiesuckers

On another note on what's going on we're continuing to write new material and I think we've got about 9 new songs coming up or so and hopefully they won't suck. Then we just have to write even more!

Scared to hell!

You haven't missed the latest release of Suckers TV now have you? If you have, you've got it right here below, go nuts!

We've got a new gig added to the horror movement aswell, and it's Halloween baby! We'll be co-headlining a Halloween show together with swedish horrorpunks The Nightshift at Brygget in Motala. It's gonna be bloody, brutal and funny as fuck so be there or miss out!

If you've got facebook like all the cool kids, you can join the event for the show by clicking here. Or here. Or maybe here? They all link the same so doesn't really matter, PSYCHED!

We've got more gigs in the plans that would all join up to become what we're calling The TormenTour, so keep your eyes open! Cool name huh?

And something for you true fucks out there who reads this blog, I can reveal a little secret. We've got a 6th member coming in! Who could it be, what will it do? Time will tell!

Monday, August 16, 2010

Do you think we're robot clean!

What's up boils and ghouls? In case you're doing a handstand it would be your feet I guess!

So do you like Misfits (well the older Misfits atleast)? Do you like us? Two stupid questions with one obvious answer, hell yeah! Well we covered Misfits rather complicated song We Are 138 and just released on our MySpace. We've been playing that song live for quite some time but we thought we'd get it on tape aswell so we did!

Listen, enjoy, spread and tell us what you think!

They came alive!

Like I wrote in the last blog post Von Ripper's been working on some acoustic stuff, including a version of Creatures Come Alive which is a new song we've got going. So in to the studio we went for two days to get it on tape! Or actually it was Von Ripper who went in and me sitting around taking pictures, filming and eating food, since there's nothing else for me to do there really, but hey! This version is a duet with female vocals by Johanna which turned out very cool.

So now you might think you'll get to hear it right, but in your face on that one! Eventually you will, but it still has to run through the final mix and stuff like that before we unleash it to the world.

There's that fucking thing again! Hmm..

So what else is going on nowadays in camp Suckers? I've got some cool news to reveal soon atleast that I'm pretty psyched about, so stay tuned for that! Other than that we got a new gig confirmed in our hometown Linköping where we'll be supporting Sonic Syndicate when they pass by here on their We Rule The World tour. Other gigs are in talks aswell so hopefully we'll have a bunch more to reveal in a very soon future!

Creatures come alive!

Yesterday me, Von Ripper and the secret third guy met up to have a few beers and do some planning. And what planning you might ask? Time will tell, shortly hopefully!

Anyway we've got a bunch of new songs in the making and we've been playing one of them live a few times now entitled Creatures Come Alive. Von Ripper's been doing an acoustic twist on it lately so we decided to catch it on tape and see if it sucked or not. I joined in on plastic drums aswell, doing an awesome job if I could say so myself.

You be the judge!

Children of the night, what music they make

At first my left arm started out to be a horrorsleeve tattoo-wise, but I guess it got kinda out of hand along the road. Not too much though, just some kickass rat and other cartoon funny-ness. What makes the main arm though is the characters building it up. Up til today the main ones have been the classic ones such as Pinhead, Michael Myers, Jason Voorhees, Frankenstein, Wolfman and the maybe not quite as classic (but still fuckin awesome) Captain Spaulding.

Today I continued on the arm hoping to get it completed with an addition of the one and only Dracula. I went for the Christopher Lee version from the 1958 Dracula, seeing he's a bit more brutal than my other choice, Bela Lugosi. Im personally favour Lugosi but it gotta look raw you know, haha!

I didn't complete the arm though as there are still some background to add to the arm here and there, but another 3 hour session should do the trick. And todays result turned out like this!

It's video time, get some popcorn!

Been a while since we put up an episode of the thing called Suckers TV that we've got going in the band. I'm the one who puts these together, so if they seem amateur-ish that's why, I'm no Spielberg!

Anyway I've put together a new one now after getting back from all the shenanigans around the world, so sit back and enjoy some stupidity in episode 13!

Sunset Strip Trip, Sweden Rock and more!

It's summer baby, and this is me checking in, Captain Awesome!

Been a while since I wrote anything, been to busy having an awesome time as always. So what have I been up to lately? Well it feels like alot, and this will be a long one so go get some food and drinks and let's go!

First of all me and Gobo - The Pigsqueeler from Hell thought we'd hop on a plane and take us to the other side of the world, namely Los Angeles! We headed out on May 30th and stayed there for 8 days so we'd make it back to Sweden Rock Festival, but more on that later. Well after like a million hours we made over there after landing in Amsterdam to have a few beers at 9 AM, and also Minneapolis.

Pirating away in Amsterdam, yarr!

Breakfast time, it's 9 AM!

Drunk and disorderly in Minneapolis

Let's just say that LA kicks major ass, I'd move there in a second if I was a billionaire. A bit smoggy sure, but who really cares? They all seem to be switching to a damn Toyota Prius over there anyway so that'll go away soon. So anyway, day 1 we just got there and headed to the hotel in Downtown LA and got our gear in place and get some rest so we'd be ready to get wasted in the morning.

Jason rockin' out at the hotel!

Said and done, day 2 ended up with breakfast at IHOP and a stroll around Downtown, bought us a guitar (can't be away for a week without a guitar) and some of the most amazing drink on the planet; Captain Morgan Tattoo. If you haven't tried out the Tattoo kind, you need to go out and get a bottle or 10 right now. Do it. So we poored the golden liquid down our throats and headed to the land of tourists, Hollywood! Plan for the day was to catch the always so hilariously amazing Steel Panther show at House of Blues. Ended up at a pretty cool cowboy-bar before the show to catch the Stanley Cup playoffs and have us some steak and beers, and after that Steel Panther delivered as expected, flawless!

Ready to party, LA-style!

Shopping for food!

And some more.. food!

If you're gonna drink, drink big!

Steel fuckin' Panther!

Hanging out with Michael Starr, a true star!

Day three! Headed over to Staples Center, home of Los Angeles Kings to check out the arena but unfortunately it was closed so we only got to touch the outside walls, kinda exciting anyway.. or? Took some pictures with statues like real tourists, had a fat burger and went away to Key Club later on to see Dark Tranquillity. Show was pretty good, OK atleast! Gotta catch some Swedish bands when going to LA ofcourse. END OF DAY 3, I'M ON A ROLL!

Day 4: Time to check out Hollywood again, that place is fucking huge! Browsed around the Walk of Fame to read famous peoples names on stars, now that was exciting! Almost peed my pants you know. Though whoever gives away those stars don't know the real talent so we made our own star happen since we deserve it for all the hard work we put in making noise. Anywho, decided we'd take a walk in the Hollywood hills to get closer to the Hollywood sign which didn't seem to be so far away.. but yeah, it was, and it was uphill.. all the time. I got exhausted, which is weird since my physical condition and healthy lifestyle should make me climb that sign in a minute. Must've been the smog, always blame the smog. Got close enough, took some pictures, and hijacked a bus to get down the hill again.

It must be some kinda sign..

I wonder if he was at the ceremony?

Zombiesuckers at the boulevard, you know it!

Climbing makes one thirsty, next stop: closest place that has beer. Found a Hard Rock Café, but shame on them it wasn't even ready yet so no beer there. Second place we found was Hooters, so in we go and get some beers and luckily the Stanley Cup playoffs was on the TV, yay! 125 bucks tab, a Flyers win, and two drunk swedes later we take a cab to drive us to The Rainbow. Killer place to have a drink at, and caught some Ramones coverband playing there which I later joined on stage to rip off We Are 138. Captain Morgue, live at Sunset Boulevard, yeah baby!

Moving on! Day 5 we did some ninjawork in Chinatown and Little Tokyo, had some Kentucky Fried, shopping for shit and just enjoyed the 25-30 degrees outside. Takes too long to tell you guys everything!

Tired ninja, fueling up with Monster

Day 6 was more fun, cause we ended up at Universal Studios and caught the Waterworld show, took the studio tour and some other fun stuff. Can absolutely recommend anyone going there to go there, alot of fire and explosions always make me happy atleast! And they have amazing burgers at Hard Rock Café at Universal aswell with the most kickass memorabilia you'll ever get to watch. Had lunch next to Tommy Lees Dr. Feelgod drumset, felt good. All that done we once again hit the Sunset Boulevard and ended up at Whisky A Go Go and The Rainbow once again to do some promotion aswell, good times.

Universal Studios, I was there

KA-BOOM, KA-BOOM!

Day 7, think it's Saturday or so? Got picked up by the guys in From The Fog who took us to Anaheim/Santa Ana where they were doing a show with Falling To Pieces at The Galaxy Theatre. So hung out with them and found out they had Jack Daniels + Cola ready mixed in bottles, kick fuckin ass! Saw the bands play which was excellent as expected and ended up with a afterparty made for grizzlybears long into the night. Extremely fun night, but not so much the day after. I don't get hungover alot, but that was brutal, a looong way back to the hotel and pass out on the bed after spending the night at a overpopulated hotel room.

Gotta hide the beer when drinking in public!

Falling To Pieces, what a nice bunch of people

Last day was really just getting our shit together, do some last shopping and stuff like that before getting up at like 5 AM to catch our flight back home. Left the guitar at the hotel room for the cleaning lady as tip, hope she rocks the shit out of it! Trip went well except for losing my camera in Detroit or so, but hey, small price to pay! Bet I forgot something but who cares, noone will ever know anyway!

Next stop, SWEDEN ROCK FESTIVAL!

Straight from LA we repack our bags and head to SRF to catch some more awesome bands. Thumbs up for Alestorm, Steel Panther, Aerosmith, Stone Sour, , Danzig, SLAAYYEEER!, Mayhem, Watain and a bunch others! I missed alot of the bands due to alcohol consumption so ended up with me seeing like.. I don't know, 12 bands? Gobo saw like 30. I lost. Well actually Axl Rose lost cause he didn't do a very good show. I left Guns N Poses to see some power metal instead in forms of Stratovarius.

All in baby!

Large dose of Captain Morgan makes Captain Morgue fall to the ground

This was the premiere of the new way of promoting the band aswell, and we call it man-tagging. Idea is to put stickers on peoples backs without them noticing it. So there were probably 50 people walking around with stickers on their backs, thanks guys! Not much more to tell about this, we partied, we listened to badass bands, we passed out, we went home! Good times!

You've been man-tagged!

So home to get some rest for a few days, pick up our girlfriends and drive down to Gothenburg to see our pals in Misconduct open up for Rise Against at Sticky Fingers. Hands down I'd say Misconduct put on a better show as a whole cause they always deliver, and they're true to what they do so thumbs effin' up for that. But Rise Against is Rise Against, they're just raw and plain awesome. Got a chance to say hi to the guys in Rise Against aswell, and alot sweatier than we arrived we left for our hotel to get a few hours sleep before getting home early in the morning. Work you know, gotta make a living! Apart from our car breaking down it was yet again another trip well done!

Peace, Love and Unity!

There are things lurking around!

And now over to myself for a special report on what the hell is going on with the band at the moment. There's not tons of stuff happening right now but we're not asleep, that's for sure!

Right now we're working on new material for the next release, cause you know we haven't released anything since like March! haha! Though the next release is not really a month away, time will tell when we have enough awesome material to puzzle up for a ear-treater.

We're also planning a video shoot during the summer as it seems. We'll be filming in Gothenburg and will be done by none other than B-Movie magician Jonas Wolcher sitting in the directors throne! We actually don't know what song we'll be shooting yet, though expect alot of blood, fire, explosions and horror'n'roll!

Also it seems as we've been infested by a weird looking thing, and I think we're not too far away from finding out what it is and what it will be doing. Are you as psyched as me? Ofcourse you are! But I don't really know how psyched I am so hard to tell if you're as psyched as me.. but you know, it's always cool to relate isn't it, even though you don't even know what you're relating to.

Boo!

Oh and by the way, you haven't missed that we've got a limited edition digipak version of Tales From The Undead? Only 300 copies ever made and we do have some left! Get yours now to make your CD-collection somewhat cooler! Check this link for details.

One step closer to Misconduct!

Something like that yeah! Was away to Karlskoga over the weekend to check in my homeboy Danny's releaseparty with Misconduct for their new album One Step Closer. The gig kicked ass and I'm broken, beaten and bruised from head to toe, hurts having fun sometimes but totally worth it! Check them out at www.misconduct.nu, you will NOT regret it!

After being hypnotized and forced to get un-sober for 2 days straight, waking up on a kitchen floor we went home to our own domain. Rocks going away having fun, but let's face it.. getting home afterwards fucking rocks aswell. Especially when my love is at home! Aaaw.. how cute of me. All and all, I love my life and yeah.. that's pretty much. Until next time!

For more deadly serious pictures tune in on my faggy page at bilddagboken!

Captain & Danny, livin' the dream!

Acting cool with Wolverine

Danny needed to lose some tension before the gig, so I gave him a helping.. hand?

My main mermaider, Gobo a.k.a. The Driver!

SLAAAAYEEEEER!!!

All and all, this trip was THIS fun!

Showing some love to Sonic Syndicate
